I met Shelsi at Cedars Sinai today for her follow up appointment with
Dr. Lill. She looks great! Her color looks healthy and other than
still being very skinny, (lucky girl;-) she definitely looks like
she's on the road to perfect health. Her hair continues to
grow...slower than before, but at least it is growing, which they
weren't sure it would at all.

Dr. Lill said her blood work looks fabulous! We weren't sure how it
would be after her bout with shingles, which took a lot out of her.
Other than the raw new skin where the scabs are coming off, she's not
in pain anymore. WHEW! Dr. Lill also said he wants to continue to
follow up with her every six weeks and get more imaging scans in
January. He also reminded us that around two years will be the mark
where we can all breath much easier...so keep praying.

Book sales have been great! Thank you! We are about 10 books away
from breaking even [actually, as of this posting we have broken even -- editor] after which the full $18 will go to Shelsi and Eric. About 40 books remain so if you haven't ordered one - there's still time.

I've copied one response to the book below, (I hope you don't mind Pam:-)
Again - they are only $18.00* each.

I've also included a couple of pictures from a family "girls
gathering". My nieces Bobbie, Lindy and Heather from Utah were here
for the "cancelled" celebration..too late to change their air
reservations, so we went for a visit anyway. We will be rescheduling
it once Kira has her baby...hopefully toward the middle or end of
September.

Much Love

Sheri

*******
I just finished the book and must say that reading this out by the
pool was a good and a bad idea. Good idea in that the tears could be
disguised as sweat...but bad since I had to use my beach towel as a
tissue!
Never have I been so inspired and never have I been so ashamed at EVER
feeling sorry for myself....
I love you all so much. Thank you Sheri for sharing this story with
us. This story really needs to be heard around the world. I will pray
that this message will be put in the right hands to do that.

Love
Pam

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her first round of Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments, but because a tumor was discovered in her brain it was necessary for her to undergo yet another round. After a stem-cell transplant proceedure, she is cancer free and blithely on the way to full recovery. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
